About a million years ago, I posted a list of stay-at-home activities we came up with on Instagram. Since we’ve forgotten everything we wrote down millions of years ago, I thought I’d throw it all into a blog post for anybody to use.
I’ve included links to as many things as I can.
Here are 27 stay-at-home activities for 5-year-old girls.

- Brain Quest, flashcards
- Play money
- Memorize a bible verse
- Read a bible story
- Audible free books
- Stories Podcast
- Do crafts
- Build something together with scrap wood
- Build a fort
- Zoo live feed—learn about that animal
- Help with chores—drying bag dishes, making bed, get her own snack utensils
- Give daddy back rub
- Write a poem together
- Start an interview journal
- Learn a foreign language together—Duolingo
- Write emails to family and friends
- Self-portrait in the mirror
- Coloring books & print out pages
- Learn Uno/Bananagrams, other games
- Take turns creating a story—do on Zoom with the family
- Living room dance party
- Outdoor scavenger hunt
- Learn a new dance (YouTube)
- Learn to follow LEGO instructions
- Giant Barbie house
- Fancy tea party with dress up
