One of the biggest complaints about getting organized is finding and buying organizing containers. Sometimes the trouble is finding the right ones. Other times the problem is finding containers to fit your budget.
My philosophy is that you don’t need tons of money to organize your home. I’d like you to save that money for better purposes, such as saving for college, retirement, a house, or travel.
I use a lot of non-fancy, inexpensive organizing containers around my house. They’re extremely effective at keeping us organized.
These are my absolute favorite containers for playroom storage. We use them for LEGOs, puzzles, Play-doh, dolls, and more.
Since they’re clear, kids can see what’s inside. The latches make it extremely easy for them to open them up without needing any help.
They’re not just for shoes. Ok, these aren’t the prettiest containers in the world. But they’re amazing for organizing bathroom supplies.
We have these stacked and hidden behind a cabinet door. It’s easy for my family to find floss, Q-tips, band-aids, and sunscreen because of these inexpensive boxes.
I have to say that this was one of my more brilliant ideas. We use this handy little drawer unit to store and organize our batteries.
We used to have to dig and search for batteries but now they’re extremely easy to get to. That counts a lot if we ever needed to reach them quickly in an emergency.
We use this size bin to store my daughter’s baby clothes, Christmas decorations, and various garage items.
I’ve never had a latch come off a Sterilite bin. They have the best quality containers.
I just discovered these and I’m OBSESSED. I was using the Sterilite shoe boxes to store school and craft supplies, but these are so much better.
My daughter can easily get out what she needs for school and carry them to wherever we decide to do our lessons that day. Our craft supplies are easy to transport outside (where I like to do crafts because of the mess).
I use cube storage all over my house. We use them everywhere …in actual cube shelves in my office, in the living room to store movies, in the linen cabinet for bedding, in the playroom for toys, and in our closets to store handbags, scarves, and sweaters.
Here’s a page with different options for cube storage bins.
